Future Plans

Steel

First Project

The Groups inherent strength and understanding of the steel business has encouraged foray into prime steel manufacturing. Two projects are proposed to be set up.
The first project is for manufacture of pig iron and is coming up at Panagarh in Durgapur region of West Bengal. Pig iron will be manufactured through mini blast furnace based on Korf Technology. The project will be backed by a captive power plant and non-recovery type coke oven battery
Phase-II of the project will involve manufacturing of ductile pipes

Second Project

In our second project a steel plant is coming up in Falta special economic zone, South 24 Parganas of West Bengal.
Billets & blooms will be manufactured in Phase-1, using induction furnace route.
Phase -II will involve manufacture of long products, medium and heavy structural, TMT and wire rod mill to meet domestic as well as international demand.
The products will be exported to neighboring countries and in South East Asian Countries, Vietnam, Cambodia, and China.

Textiles & Garments


	The phasing out of quota system and ushering in of the multi fibre agreement has opened new export opportunities in the Readymade Garments sector. The Group with its inherent strength in textile and garments line and vast International contacts in importing countries has driven the Group into planning for setting up a modern manufacturing facility with latest technology for production of Readymade Garments, meeting international standards. A separate design centre equipped with complete facilities having in-house design team will serve the manufacturing unit.

GEMS & JEWELLERY


	The Group is setting up facilities for manufacture and export of Jewellery at Manikanchan SEZ at Kolkata. Abundant availability of skilled manpower experienced in Jewellery trade makes strong justification for location of this project at Kolkata.
